SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY, MARCH 4
Participants will have the opportunity to hang out with peers, spend time outdoors, participate in group activities, swim, and go on two exciting field trips per week in a safe, supervised environment.
Field Trips: Field Trips are subject to change based on weather, availability, etc.
Week 1: CT Sun Basketball Game - Urban Air Adventures
Week 2: Baseball Game at Yard Goats Stadium - Lake Compounce
Week 3: SW Veterans Memorial Pool - The Adventure Park at Storrs
Week 4: Nomads Adventure Quest - Ron-A-Roll
Week 5: Brownstone Park - Spare Time
Location: Newhoca Lodge, 195 Grier Road
Ages: 13-15
Camp Hours: 8:30am to 4:00pm, Tuesday - Thursday
Payment Options:
Registering by May 19: Balance may be paid in full, or a 50% deposit may be made to hold a spot. All remaining balances are due in full by Sunday, June 2nd or your registration will be cancelled
Registering after May 19: Full balance is due at the time of registration. No spots are held without payment.
If you are interested in applying for a camp scholarship, please contact the Vernon Social Services Department beginning February 20th at (860) 870-3661 to set up an appointment for eligibility screening. Securing a scholarship does not automatically hold a spot in the camp program; registration & payment must still be completed through the Vernon Parks & Recreation Office.
PLEASE NOTE:
*If your participant is attending the Vernon Summer Learning Program through Vernon Public Schools, hours may conflict with scheduled field trips
*Minimum enrollment must be met by May 1 in order for each session to run
*The field trip schedule may be affected by inclement weather
