REGISTRATION FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!

Recreation & Education for Kids is an after-school program offered through the Vernon Parks & Recreation Department for each of the elementary schools in Vernon. We strive to provide a variety of fun, engaging indoor and outdoor activities to help kids learn, make friends, and have fun after school.

Daily Activities include: Homework time, snack, sports & group games, arts & crafts, table activities, and special activities.

Grades:  K-5
Serving: Center Road School, Skinner Road School, Lake Street School, Maple Street School and Northeast School. 

Center Road School is the physical location of R.E.K.
Students attending Northeast School, Maple Street School, Lake Street School & Skinner Road School will be bussed to Center Road School at the end of the school day. Students must be picked up from Center Road School by 6:00 p.m. each day.

Time
End of school day - 6:00pm

R.E.K. Fees
Drop in rate: $28 per day.
Monthly rate varies. It is based on $20.50 per day.
 
IF SPACE IS NOT AVAILABLE & YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE PLACED ON THE WAIT LIST PLEASE EMAIL parksandrec@vernon-ct.gov  WITH YOUR CHILD'S NAME, THE SCHOOL THEY ATTEND, & IF YOU WOULD LIKE FULL-TIME OR PART-TIME. PLEASE INCLUDE WHAT DATES YOU WOULD LIKE TO REGISTER FOR IF SELECTING PART-TIME.
