9th-12th Grade Basketball
The 9th–12th Grade Recreation Basketball League is a fun, welcoming program designed for players of all skill levels. Whether you're an experienced basketball player or new to the game, this league provides a great opportunity to stay active, build skills, make friends, and enjoy playing basketball.
The season consists of one practice per week and a six game season. The focus is on equal participation, teamwork, sportsmanship, and most importantly, having fun. Players of all abilities are encouraged to participate and enjoy the game in a positive, recreational setting.
There are no requests for team placement or practice night. Players cannot be transferred once drafted to a team. If you are an in-season high school athlete, please discuss this program with your coach prior to registering to ensure it does not compromise your eligibility.
Game begin in Mid-January.
During registration please ensure you select the appropriate shirt size for the participant. Uniform shirts are ordered and provided based on the size selected during the registration process. If a different size shirt is required after uniforms are ordered, parents will need to pay an additional fee for a new shirt. If you are not sure what size shirt you need, samples sizes will be available to try on at the Parks and Recreation office during normal business hours September 1st through November 6th.
Participant's information including but not limited to emergency contact, address & medical information will be made available to their volunteer coach.
Registration Deadline: November 4th
Player Evaluations: November 7th, times TBD
First Practices: TENTATIVELY week of November 30th
First Games: TENTATIVELY January 16th
The league must meet minimum registration to operate.
Player Evaluations are held at Center 375. This is only for players registered into the program. There is no on-site registration available.
Everyone registered for the program will be placed on a team.
VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED
The Boys and Girls Recreation Basketball Leagues cannot begin until we have volunteer coaches for all the teams in that league. Extensive basketball knowledge/playing experience are not required. We look for coaches who will provide a safe, fun and educational experience while setting nothing less than the best example for players. All coaches must submit to a background check and attend the pre-season coaches meeting.
