Water Safety Day is an educational and interactive event designed to promote awareness of safe practices in and around water. This program aims to equip participants of all ages with essential knowledge and practical skills to prevent water-related accidents.
Water Safety Day emphasizes the importance of preparation and supervision by combining education with engaging activities, the program encourages individuals and families to build lifelong habits that support safe and enjoyable experiences in pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans.
This event is ideal for children, families, caregivers, and community members who want to increase their awareness and confidence around water while having fun in a supportive learning environment.
Saturday June 27th 10:00am-2:00pm
Registration is required to enter the facility. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years of age.
Age 17 and under: Residents $10, Non-residents $15
Age 18 and over: Residents $7, Non-residents $15
Activities include:
- Open swim throughout the program time
- Variety of water safety stations
- Parent and child story splash (ages 5 & under only, parent participation required)
- Visit from Vernon Gator's Swim Team mascot, Henry P. Gator!
- Arts & craft activity
If cancellation is required due to inclement weather or other factors, an alert message will be placed on our homepage and the event will be rescheduled for a future date.
