SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION OPENS MONDAY, MARCH 4
New this year at Kiddie Camp: Half Day camp 8:00am - 12:30pm OR Full Day camp 8:00am - 3:30pm. Please only register for ONE option per session.
At Kiddie Camp campers enjoy theme days, outdoor time and physical fitness activities, arts & crafts, wading in the Kiddie Pool, group games, and many more fun activities throughout the summer! This camp has both outdoor and indoor, air-conditioned facilities for campers to utilize, with a focus on prioritizing outdoor time each day. Indoor facilities feature a gym and activity rooms. The outside features a Kiddie wading pool, playground, field for games, and picnic area.
Location: 375 Hartford Turnpike, lower level of building & left side of building.
Ages: 4-5
Camp Hours: 8:00am to 3:30pm (Full Day option) OR 8:00am - 12:30pm (Half Day option). Drop-off is between 8:00am - 9:00am. Half-Day campers will leave right after lunch.
Payment Options:
Registering by May 19: Balance may be paid in full, or a 50% deposit may be made to hold a spot. All remaining balances are due in full by Monday, June 2nd or your registration will be cancelled
Registering after May 19: Full balance is due at the time of registration. No spots are held without payment.
If you are interested in applying for a camp scholarship, please contact the Vernon Social Services Department beginning February 20th at (860) 870-3661 to set up an appointment for eligibility screening. Securing a scholarship does not automatically hold a spot in the camp program; registration & payment must still be completed through the Vernon Parks & Recreation Office.
PLEASE NOTE:
*When registering, please make sure your child's grade is listed as what they are currently in right now. The computer will automatically progress their grade July 1.
*There is no camp on Thursday, July 4 & Friday, July 5
*Campers must be fully toilet trained and able to use the bathroom and change clothing independently to register for this program
General Camp Info
- Things to bring: snacks, water, non-refrigerated lunch (optional), sun screen, swimsuit, towel, sneakers, change of clothes
- Lunch will be available to all campers daily at no charge
- Location is 375 Hartford Tpke, drop off/pick up meeting point is inside the lower level of the building. Drop Off is between 8:30am - 9:0am, Pick-up is promptly at 3:30pm (Full Day option) or 12:30pm (Half Day option)
- Photo ID is required to sign out your child.
- Free breakfast and lunch will be available to campers daily through the Free Summer Meals program
- **ALL REGISTRATIONS ARE DUE BY 12pm ON THE WEDNESDAY BEFORE A SESSION BEGINS IF SPACE IS AVAILABLE**
- Spots will NOT be held without payment.
